Here are some Chakra Design Revamps.  Essentially blended various symbols like the Chakras, the Sri Yantra, and a variety of Mandalas to create this geometric piece… I actually used the final work as a hard-drive icon for my buddy’s desktop.
Kind of overkill for a use like that, but neat looking nonetheless. (more…)

Augmented Reality

At some point, I had started to experiment with the Flash Augmented Reality Toolkit (FLAR). I basically created an entire sub-site from my main page that allowed users to download my custom AR marker that when presented to a web-cam would display some crazy animation that I created in Google Sketchup.

Large Format Fractal Prints

The entire fractal stitching process was basically a way to automate the generation of 250-400dpi fractal images that could then be turned around and printed on an array of epson plotters..  here are some photos of the highlights. (more…)

Printing the fractals was a slightly more interesting twist to the whole fractal project.  Admittedly so, the digital versions weren’t very impressive considering they were computer generated… but once you see them on paper, they really pop-out.  Something about the virtual/literal relationship… (more…)

FB Album Covers

I got really ambitious when I started posting photos on Facebook… I figured that it would be a nice place to store my photos permanently.  I created all of these album covers for the photo albums that I posted there… Shortly afterward, I migrated my photos off of their servers.  *shrug.

So in the summer of 09, I started playing with this open-source fractal generator.  I used a custom script builder in conjunction with this application to create extremely high-resolution prints.   The results were astonishing. (more…)

I discovered pretty quickly that if I wanted things done and needed art-power, the easiest thing to do was to bribe students with grant money or graduation credits.
